The Parks and Community Services Department began implementation of the Heritage Park Master Plan in 2005 with construction of Phase I improvements. 

The second phase of construction at Kirkland’s Heritage Park, a 10-acre community park located near downtown, was completed in 2008.

No timeline has been established for future phases of park development.
