Project Overview: This project will replace approximately 2000 linear feet of water main along 120th Avenue NE between NE 73rd Street and NE 75th street, and along NE 73rd Street between 120th Avenue NE and 124th Avenue NE.
Project Timeline: Construction began early February 2010, and is expected to last approximately two to three months.
What to Expect: Typical hours of construction will be 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. To expedite construction the contractor may start work at 7:30 a.m. at locations where school traffic is not impacted or when school is not in session. Expect restricted parking along the roadway. No-parking signs will be posted 24 hours in advance of all parking restrictions. During construction, there may be inconvenience associated with driving through the work zone; traffic control and flagging operations will be in effect. Emergency vehicle access will be maintained throughout the construction process. The contractor is required to back fill and/or cover their work at the end of each day so there will be no open trenches left over night. Businesses and residents will be given two days notice prior to any planned water system shutdowns. | |
