Permit applications that require plan review will be accepted 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Monday – Tuesday –Thursday – Friday and from 10:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
Permit applications that do not require plan review will be accepted 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday–Tuesday–Thursday–Friday and from 10:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Single Family Equipment sizing for space heating and space cooling systems
WSU Extension Energy Program has developed code compliance spread sheets for prescriptive energy code compliance (WSEC chapter 6), and a component performance code compliance (WSEC chapter 5). Both of these worksheets have a simple heating system sizing method attached. For heat pumps and air conditioners, approved engineering is required, such as Manual J available from ACCA.orgFor prescriptive heating and cooling options, see the City of Kirkland interpretation.

Demolition Permit Application and checklist (PDF) Due to changes to the Planning and Community development Tree plan ordinance, 4 copies of the site plan are now required with the appropriate required tree retention/protection information. See the attached checklist for details.

Move Permit Application and Checklist (163 KB PDF) This is a 22-page application packet - the security agreements and bonds will be required depending on the type of move and the threshold dimension/weight of the structure being moved. Read or print pages 1-4 first to determine which of the security agreements and bonds will be needed. The License to Enter and Release of License to Enter must be on City of Kirkland watermarked paper. Please ask a permit technician for these forms if required.
