Thank you for visiting the City of Kirkland’s informational webpage about the North East King County Regional Public Safety Communications Agency (NORCOM). Representatives from the following principal agencies have been working over the last several years to establish the framework to create a consolidated emergency service communications center to be known as NORCOM.
Principal agencies who have signed the NORCOM
Final Interlocal Agreement (PDF-3.3 MB) have committed their support to this effort. This will allow all participating agencies to increase efficiencies and have a greater role in decision making.
NORCOM will consolidate and centralize public dispatch services under a partnership model. NORCOM services will include 911 telephone answering, computer-aided dispatch of fire, police and EMS resources, public safety field technology and a records management system.
