ECA is an all volunteer run thrift shop which started serving the Eastside community in 1981. To date ECA has helped over 59 different organizations on the Eastside through material and/or financial support.
ECA also supports clients of Eastside Domestic Violence, Holy Family, and St. Vincent DePaul through vouchers for free material goods. All cell phones are donated to Eastside Domestic Violence. Glasses and hearing aids are donated to Lions’ Club. ECA recycles clothes and shoes that are not sold at the shop to clothing banks.
All overhead lighting has been retrofitted to energy efficient light fixtures. We recycle paper, cardboard, glass, cans, etc. in the recycling bin. Plastic bags, batteries, light bulbs have their own recycling bins. Volunteers use their own reusable mugs for drinks.
We accept good, resalable donations during business hours Monday through Saturday 10:00am-5:00pm. Volunteers are always needed. Hours are flexible and no experience needed.
